Chargers Parents,

When we first started the Chargers program, we were working with about 20 kids. What began as a small opportunity for a few athletes has grown into something much bigger. Today, we are serving hundreds of athletes each year across multiple sports, age groups, and communities.

With that growth has come a lot of responsibility. I’ve always tried to handle everything myself, and to be honest, asking for help has never been easy for me. Over the years, it has taken a lot of work and sacrifice to keep this program going, especially navigating challenges within the community just to make sure kids had a place to play, feel welcome, develop, and be supported.

At this point, I know that if the Chargers program is going to continue to grow and provide the quality experience our kids deserve, I can’t do it alone anymore. The next step for this organization is putting together a small board of people who care about kids, believe in what we are building, and want to help guide and support the future of the program.

This board would help with things like organization, long-term planning, fundraising, and making sure the Chargers remain strong and sustainable for years to come. It’s not about changing what we do, it’s about protecting it and making it better.
