AAU Spring Team Development
April 23rd – June 11th
We will keep the same Sunday (6 total) practice time slot at Saint Thomas More Gymnasium and add one practice during the week in May (4 total) after the school spring sports season concludes. The emphasis will be on preparing girls to play competitively in tournaments. Weekday practices will be either Monday or Tuesday evening, 1.5 hour in length.
Players who register for team development may attend the spring skills development at no extra charge. On Sundays the preliminary schedule is:
Skills Development 4:00-5:00 pm
Team Development 5:00-6:00 pm
This registration includes your athlete entry fee into (2) tournaments as well as a reversible, wicking mesh game uniform. One step registration for the remainder of our season.
Based on interest, we will potentially create two tournament teams, Lightning (6th/7th) and Thunder (7th/8th). I have identified at least 2 tournaments this spring that work for each team's talent level. We are guaranteed a 3-game minimum per tournament and everyone who travels will play.
We will NOT play over Memorial Day.
Possible dates for tourney entry are the weekends of May 13, May 20, June 3, and June 10.
**One-day or two-day entries will be based on the parent survey and final registration numbers.
