A Message From Elite Xpress Track & Field
June 15, 2020 Elite Xpress Track & Field would like to convey our solidarity with, and support for, the movements seen across the nation and around the world protesting social injustices. This organization and the entities which preceded it have always made it a point of emphasis to highlight the value and worth of every competing athlete, coach, official, and supporting family member. The very nature of the sport of track and field is a meritocracy, where no placing or result is predetermined, but depends on the actions of those involved as measured to the closest margins of fairness. This concept is universal, and comprises the core of Elite Xpress’ mission and pledge to the Johnston County community and beyond. MISSION AND PHILOSOPHY
Elite Xpress Track and Field is a non-profit community youth club with SafeSport trained board members and coaches. We are affiliated with the AAU and USATF organizations. Our coaches are all volunteers and we strive to:
Provide mentoring to empower student athletes to make positive life choices while assisting them in achieving their goals to be successful in life;
Offer a quality sports experience in a safe, positive, and fun environment;
Provide the opportunity for athletes to develop fundamental skills, improve self-esteem, become good sportsmen, and make friends;
Promote individual skill development while enhancing team performance.
