Volunteer Coach Application

Volunteer Information:

The Elite Xpress Track and Field Club invites parents and other community adults to assist our coaches in providing a high-quality track and field experience for our student athletes.  Volunteers will work with assigned coaches and will be provided instructions on their duties during practices and meets.  The time commitment will vary and can be agreed upon with the assigned coach.

 

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Volunteers must be at least 18 years of age
  • Complete the volunteer application
  • Membership in AAU and USATF
  • Complete SafeSport training
  • Must undergo a background check
  • Adhere to the Volunteer Coaches Expectations

 

Volunteer Coaches Expectations:

  • Make practice and meets as safe as possible (conduct warm-ups and cool-downs, etc.)
  • Teach skills to all athletes
  • Encourage athlete’s efforts and improvements
  • Continuously set positive examples of good sportsmanship for the athletes and their parents
  • Become knowledgeable in the rules of track and field and teach these rules to athletes

MISSION AND PHILOSOPHY

Elite Xpress Track and Field is a non-profit community youth club with SafeSport trained board members and coaches.  We are affiliated with the AAU and USATF organizations.  Our coaches are all volunteers and we strive to:

Provide mentoring to empower student athletes to make positive life choices while assisting them in achieving their goals to be successful in life;

Offer a quality sports experience in a safe, positive, and fun environment;

Provide the opportunity for athletes to develop fundamental skills, improve self-esteem, become good sportsmen, and make friends;

Promote individual skill development while enhancing team performance.
