Hillsboro Recreation District Follow

Softball parents, there are no 10U games tonight - we are rescheduling them to June 30th in Hillsboro! We want to give the girls some more time to practice and learn before they jump into games. We'll get uniforms out later this week!

Practice will be at 3:30 today and this week, which will be our usual time going forward. 

Thank you! Sorry everything has been a little chaotic so far, but things will start to get more normal this week!

Little League Update:

Uniforms will be handed out this Tuesday once our coaches have finalized rosters for the Blue and White teams.

Our first games are this Thursday:

Blue Team plays in Northwood

White Team plays at home in Hillsboro

The full schedules for both teams are attached to this post.

Please note:

One game date has been adjusted — instead of playing on Tuesday, June 24th, we will now play Monday, June 23rd against MayPort Red.

June 24th will now be used as a practice day.

After this week, our games will consistently be held on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Reminder: Game Eligibility for 8-Year-Old Players

Hi everyone,

Just a quick reminder for those of you with 8-year-old boys in our summer rec program: while they’re more than welcome (and encouraged!) to participate in Little League practices with the team, they won’t be eligible to play in official Little League games this summer.

The league’s age cutoff requires players to be 9 years old by June 1 to participate in games. We also have strong numbers in our 9–12-year-old group this season, so we want to make sure we’re following league rules and keeping things fair for everyone involved.

That said, your boys are absolutely still welcome to play in our Coach Pitch games, which are a great way for them to build skills, gain confidence, and have fun on the field with their peers.

Thanks for your understanding and support. We’re excited to have such a great group of kids this summer!

Just a reminder that practice will be this evening at 7 pm at the fields in Hillsboro! I won't be able to stay for very long, as this week is incredibly busy for me with work, but we'll have our other coaches there and a volunteer helper or two! As we get a feel for our age breakdowns, I'll get a roster for our various teams. One thing that will help this year is that our teams are playing at the same locations on any given night to help with travel. 

12U:
