Fall 2021 Season Registration is Now Open

Starting in September, the Miracle League of San Diego will return to play after suspending the 2020 and Spring 2021 seasons due to the COVID-19 pandemic. After careful consideration and guidance from Miracle League advisors, the State of California Youth Guidelines, and consultation with longtime Miracle League of San Diego families, the decision was made that the League can safely return to the field. Our families miss the inclusive environment and community connection of participating in Miracle League baseball” says Dan Engel, Miracle League Founder and Treasurer. “I’m also so proud of the work our Board of Directors is doing to ensure a smooth operation. President Mark Guglielmo has really taken charge and is having a huge impact.”
New Board of Directors President, Mark Guglielmo is thrilled to combine his experience and passion to create a safe and fun environment for Miracle League families as they take the field for the first time in over a year. “The Board of Directors for Miracle League of San Diego is excited to resume operations, start our fall season in September and most importantly having our players, coaches, buddies, volunteers and families back on our fields playing baseball and having a great time. The Board is committed to ensuring the experience is not only enjoyable but we are also in compliance with the most recent State and County health and safety protocols for youth sports. We are anxious to re-start and look forward to the all the smiles from all our participants resulting from the Miracle League of San Diego experience at both the Engel Family and Bell Middle School fields.” says Mark Guglielmo.
Opening Day at Bell Middle School will be September 11, 2021 and Opening Day at Engel Family Field will be September 18, 2021.
The Board of Directors has decided to waive all registration fees for this coming season to support full return to play. However, we have made it easy to make a donation to help us recover from the long down time.
About Us
The Miracle League of San Diego provides children and adults with special needs the opportunity to play baseball in an organized league at two locations in San Diego County: Engel Family Field, a Little Padres Park in San Dieguito Park, (Solana Beach), and Bell Middle School (Chula Vista).
We have Spring and Fall seasons at both fields and accommodate players ages five and up. Every player is matched with a buddy for the entire season and each buddy is paired with the player based on his or her unique needs. Our mission is to ensure that every participant walks away saying they had a great day!
Affordability is never a question. While we strive to keep our player registration fees low, we accept all scholarship requests.
