Thanksgiving Tourney

Parents and Coaches,

The kids played a lot of basketball over the weekend. I hope everyone enjoyed it and got home safe.

I have uploaded a few more pictures.

Our 5th and 6th grade teams won the title! Congrats!

Our 4th grade team played up and lost in the championship game in their bracket. Way to go!

The 8th grade team got their first 2 wins over the weekend and our 7th grade team won 2 games also!

Back to CDYBL League play this weekend at Albany!

Game 3 vs Scotia

Our program went 4-1 at Scotia. 

The 4th, 5th, 6th and 7th grades all won handily.

Our 8th grade team was in a dog fight and lost 54-51. 

With school closed today for Veterans Day none of our teams have practice.

To all of our Veterans past and present we thank you for your service!

Next week we are on the road again at Saratoga HS.

The following week is our first home game. We will be hosting Schenectady.
As most of you know the Jr HS is under construction and the place is a mess. The reason we have been on the road these first few weeks is I wanted to give them time to get more of the work done and the place cleaned up.
(Gym floors will not be re-done until December break) As a result we only have 6 home games this year and if a team gets the 1 seed maybe one more as we get to host the playoffs for that grade level. 

With this being said we will need some help with the following at these home games:
Front Door - Admission Fee
Concession 
Scorekeeper
Clock
Help with cleanup and setup
On 11/23 the 4th and 6th grade teams play at 2:00, the 5th and 7th at 3:15 and the 8th at 4:30. 

I will upload a sign up sheet this week. We want to avoid parents working the door and concession while they have someone playing. 

Thanksgiving Day tourney times will be posted when I receive them.

Game 2 vs Clifton Park

Clifton Park proved to be a tougher opponent this week but our program still managed to go 3-2.

The 5th grade team was in a battle to the end. Unfortunately they ended up on the wrong side of the win column.

Our 4th and 6th grade teams continue to win with defense first. The 4th grade team held Clifton Park to 17 points and the 6th grade team held them to 21 points. Great job!

The 7th grade team won a close one, 45-39.

The 8th grade team competed and hopefully they get a W today.
