Eden and her sister Jordan attended private school until their 10th and 11th grade years when they transferred to Winnetonka. Inspired by others they founded a legacy program that provides a $1000.00 Scholarship to both a senior softball player and senior student in the special educational program every year for the next 10 years, hoping to encourage others to find a way to give back and leave a legacy.

Eden has played almost every position on her competitive team except pitcher. After years of catching she realized her passion was the outfield and middle infield and she became a utility player leaving catching behind. Last year when she arrived at Winnetonka for softball tryouts the team needed an additional pitcher and Eden stepped out of her comfort zone to learn to pitch and do what her coaches needed to support her team
Northland Softball Academy was developed by Winnetonka Head Coach Marc Asquith through his desire to provide girls in the KC Metro area an opportunity to leave a legacy on and off the field. Coach Asquith teamed up with other schools in the Northland to expand tournament opportunity for girls who might have otherwise been able to play. Coach Asquith and his wife Nicole have a vision to give back to the community and leave an positive impact on everyone they meet.
Eden Viles is a Senior at Winnetonka High School graduating in 2019 and the Head Coach of the NSA 12U C Team. She is an all around athlete that has played competitive club fastpitch since 2011. Through hardships and personal trials, softball remained a constant friend that helped her grow and become more resilient. When asked if she wanted to coach a 12 U team, Eden didn't have to think twice the answer was yes. She has a heart to mentor and develop young women to not only be great on the field but be all around academic athletes that are confident and strong. "Failure is fine as long as you recover and learn from it"
