About Us
ABOUT OPRFYU
In May, OPRFYU became incorporated in the State of Illinois and in June we were granted 501(c)(3) non-profit status with the IRS. We are also formally recognized as an affiliate of the US national governing body of the sport, USA Ultimate.
Our affiliate status is currently provisional (official status requires one year as a successful provisional affiliate) and we will attend our first USAU Organizers Convention this summer. Over the past six months volunteers have been working to create a more organized effort in order to both maintain and grow the established programs that have nearly 200 youth participating annually in Oak Park and River Forest. On Saturday, May 18, we hosted our first event, a Girls’ Ultimate Movement (GUM) clinic, at Oak Park River Forest High School.
