M. Alexandra Kalayta, PT, DPT Alexandra Kalayta brings almost 10 years of outpatient orthopedic experience and has established a reputation among colleagues and referring physicians as a specialist in sports related shoulder and knee problems. She developed for her doctoral project a successful education, strength and conditioning program for injury prevention and performance enhancement in tennis players, which she hopes to expand on. Alexandra strongly believes in a team approach to treatment and a commitment to sports injury prevention through community screenings and education. After graduating from Boston University, Alexandra began her orthopedic practice at the prestigious California Pacific Medical Center, Davies campus, where she saw a diverse, medically challenging population while interacting with top orthopedic surgeons. After finishing her doctorate at Northeastern University, Alexandra transitioned into private practice where she could continue to develop her sports specialty and obtain advanced training and certification in manual therapy. Alexandra hopes to continue to pursue her dream of conducting injury prevention programs for tennis players at the high school, college, and club levels. Recently, she has taken her own extensive equestrian experience on the Hunter-Jumper “A” circuit to provide programs at charity polo events and would like to work with others in the riding community. She also has a particular interest in the young athlete and overuse injuries, especially soccer players. Alexandra is thrilled to be part of the team at Pacific THERx and looks forward to providing excellent care. In her spare time, Alexandra plays USTA and recreational tennis, cycles, hikes, swims, and enjoys exploring the Bay Area and taking advantage of its plethora of events.
