My Story

William "Billy" Anderson is the Founder and Director of the Fierce Life Youth-FLY Football Camps, and Chairman of the NFL Alumni-NorCal Youth Sports Camps. The charitable Camps originated in the San Francisco Bay Area in 2005 under the monicker of the Angel Tree Football Clinics (2005-2018). FLY Football Camps provide encouragement, inspiration, uplift, and Sports Skills training to boys and girls from underserved communities, through a series of FREE 1-day camps, led by former College and Professional athletes. Since 2018, FLY Football Camps have been the Premiere Youth Outreach Events of the  NFL Alumni Northern California Chapter which assumed leadership and primary sponsorship of the Camps in that year.

Anderson is a Motivational Speaker, Professional Voice Actor, Success Coach, and Chief Executive of Fierce Life Now, LLC and the Vision Catalyst Group of Companies. "Billy", as his friends and colleagues call him, is a former Runningback and Kick Returner for the Stanford University Football Team. Billy led the PAC-8 Conference in Kick Return Yardage and was a key member of the two-time Bowl Champion and Nationally ranked Cardinal Football teams of 1977 and 1978. He was the Stanford Special Teams Captain and the Stanford Football Unsung Hero Award winner in 1978, playing under and mentored by 3-time Super Bowl Champion and NFL Hall of Fame Coach, Bill Walsh. Billy was an undrafted free-agent signee of the Buffalo Bills in 1979.

In early 2017 Anderson was recognized with the Jefferson Award for Public Service for his efforts in helping to uplift young people through the Football Camps. Anderson was additionally recognized by his Alma Mater, Stanford University, ( which hosted the Camps from 2006-2016) with the creation of the Billy Anderson Commitment to Community Outreach Award, given annually to a member of the Stanford Football offensive unit who best exemplifies service to youth and the community.
