My Story

Rowan McDonnell burst onto the Ultimate scene in 2013, and is currently one of the top players in the American Ultimate Disc League (AUDL). In 2020, he was announced as a member of the National USA Men’s Ultimate team. 

Rowan’s playing and coaching career  has been featured on national platforms such as ESPN Sportscenter and in the Washington Post. 

Off the field, Rowan has tirelessly devoted himself to furthering the sport of Ultimate as a coach for youth, college and professional Ultimate organizations. To this date, Rowan has coached over 25 Ultimate programs and has amassed over a million views across his social media platforms teaching Ultimate.

Having co-founded the DMV community based  American Ultimate Academy, Rowan partnered with Felipe Ledezma to bring Ultimate training to the world with Excel Ultimate. Rowan currently serves as an ambassador for a sport that is experiencing exponential growth and attention.
