My Story
BAWSI’S founding initiatives are the pillars of the organization and inspiring opportunities for both athlete volunteers and kids. BAWSI understands that service can be reciprocally transformative, positively impacting those doing the serving as well as those being served. As athletes choose to matter, they become more aware of their capacity to bring a bit of goodness into the world. Mission: BAWSI awakens the power of female athletes as change makers in the world. Vision: Our vision is a women’s sports community that is strong and vibrant because female athletes use their power and appeal for the greater good. Values: BAWSI was founded on the principles of servant-leadership and paying it forward. And while the work we do is incredibly important, we have learned that character counts immeasurably, as well. We also value authenticity, mindfulness, integrity, collaboration, enthusiasm, playfulness and a sense of gratitude for opportunity.
