Youth Wrestling is a foundational sport. It trains the mind, body and tests the spirit. In many ways, it is a parallel for our walk in faith with our savior.
The Platte Valley Baptist Youth Wrestling Club is committed to providing a safe, structured and intense wrestling program with the dual purpose of raising up young people in wrestling, and, through our activities and events, come to see and know Jesus Christ in a personal way. This Club is an outreach of Platte Valley Baptist Church, and as such is free to those who choose to participate. We rely the generosity of sponsors, the realistic support of families that can afford to support their own children, and the giving of our church family to provide equipment, tournament fees, gear fees, etc. throughout the season.
Our Coaching Staff donates their time to train up these young people, not only in the fundamentals of wrestling, but in the fundamentals of life as well. All have had background checks, and have experience in coaching youth sports at all levels of competition.
There is never a practice where the team will not bend their head in prayer and acknowledge the one from whom their talents and abilities come. The hard lessons forged in sweat, some blood and hours of hard work aren't the end themselves, they lead to even more valuable conversations that act to strengthen and enrich young people’s knowledge and love for Jesus. In our inaugural season, we are excited about what the Lord is going to do!

Welcome to the home page for the Athletics Outreach of Plate Valley Baptist Church in Fort Morgan, CO! Our church family is proud to be providing a fun filled, Christ centered athletic outreach that is going to be home to several different sports and activities in the months and years to come!
Led by our pastor, Shannon Munday, as a church family we believe that the best way to describe what our athletics outreach is about is found in our Mission Statement:
The Platte Valley Baptist Church Athletics Outreach exists to reach and evangelize the youth of Morgan County with the gospel of Jesus Christ through the lessons provided by competitive youth sports.
We provide various levels of competition, from beginners to national level programs, and EVERYTHING WE DO is centered on Christ.
EVERY PRACTICE AND GAME/MATCH/EVENT BEGINS AND ENDS WITH A PRAYER!
GROUP AND TEAM EVENTS WILL OFTEN INCLUDE A TIME OF DEVOTION AND READING FROM THE WORD.
Ultimately, We believe that the bible teaches that anything we gain, in athletics or life, is of little gain without faith in Christ as our center. Knowing that, we are focused on training up the next generation to perform in athletics, but more importantly, go out and do great things that point to Christ as the true author of their talents.
Please look around, and see what we are up to! This fall we are starting our outreach with a competitive level youth wrestling club, and as the Lord moves our church onto our new 62 acre campus, we will offer more sports that encompass the needs and desires of a wide range of youth athletes!
