Woods Family Reunion CommitteeWe are thrilled to invite you to the upcoming Wood Roots Family Reunion, taking place on August 20th at Capernwray Harbour! This is going to be a wonderful opportunity to reconnect and get to know each other better.

Here are a few important details to help you prepare:

Travel & Logistics:

• Ferries: If you haven't already, we highly recommend booking your ferry travel between the mainland and Vancouver Island for both Wednesday and Friday.

What to Expect & What to Bring:

• Agenda: A draft agenda for the three days is attached. Please note it is still in draft form, but we especially want to highlight that there will be an all-ages Talent Night! Be sure to pack your talent!
• Optional Items to Bring:
  • Your favorite board or lawn game
  • Bath towels and a beach towel (bedding will be provided)
  • Sunscreen and/or bug spray
• Genealogy Display: We encourage you to bring any photos and memorabilia you have for our genealogy display.

Important Action Item: Dietary Restrictions & Allergies (Respond within 24 hours!)

• To ensure everyone is accommodated, please respond to this email at [email protected] within the next 24 hours if anyone in your family has any of the following dietary restrictions:
  • Vegetarian
  • Gluten-free
  • Lactose-free
• Additionally, please let us know if anyone has any serious food allergies.
• If you have no restrictions, simply respond with 'No restrictions'.
• If you do have restrictions or allergies, please provide the details.

This is going to be a truly special gathering, filled with nature, laughter, stories, and memory-making for all ages.

Wood Roots Reunion – 8 Weeks Away! Next Steps 🔔
 

We’re just 8 weeks out from the Wood Roots Family Reunion at Capernwray Harbour (August 20–22, 2025), and it’s time to start getting ready!

🔹 2nd Payment Now Due
If you only paid a deposit, the remaining balance is now due. Please make your final payment as soon as possible so we can finalize the booking. LINK TO PAYMENT HERE

🔹 Arrival & Check-In
Check-in opens at 3:00 PM on Wednesday, August 20. The reunion runs through Friday noon, August 22.

🔹 Book Your Ferry Travel Now
Ferries to the Island fill up quickly in summer. We strongly recommend booking your ferry tickets ASAP. You'll travel via BC Ferries to Vancouver Island, then take the Thetis Island ferry. We recommend you book an early ferry (before 10am) to Vancouver Island.

We’ll send a full packing list, schedule, and room info in the next update — but if you have any questions before then, feel free to reach out.

Capernwray Harbour (https://capernwray.ca/about-the-property/) offers a one-of-a-kind setting, surrounded by natural beauty. We'll enjoy team-building activities, leadership and communication games, marine biology and forest explorations, and plenty of time for laughter, stories, and relaxation. All ages are welcome, and there will be something for everyone!
