THE SEXSMITH JUNIOR CURLING Thanks you for your interest in our Junior Curling Program!!
Our team of coaches are gearing up for a super fun season. We LOVE seeing all the interest many kids have expressed, which speaks to the fun we have and amazing support we receive from our club and community.
**Start Date: Tuesday, November 5th - Tuesday December, 17th.
**Our program runs the same days as school so if the public school system has no school = no curling. This also means we cancel curling on horrible weather/ driving days to keep our people safe…so if Sexsmith buses are cancelled, so is curling.
**This year our program will run for 6 Tuesdays, ending December 17th.
This is Session 1, we will be continuing with Session 2 in the new year (2025).
Parents also be aware as the weeks go on, if we discover children who have more experience and need more of a challenge, we may be splitting classes up so your child may have to move to a different time slot. But that will also be discussed between you and your child.
We follow the Curling Alberta Guideline for Junior Curling Programs….
To participate in the program:
• We have a lot of interest again this year and a limited space. If your child decides that curling is not their sport, no problem.
• Your child needs a clean pair of indoor shoes, VERY, VERY, VERY clean! There is a limited protective headgear available. We have a very strict rule, no headgear NO curling! Bring a helmet!!
• The club provides safe sliders and brooms.
• There is a limited number of rental shoes for those more experienced players, if interested please email (below) and let us know if interested and what size shoe your child has, and we will let you know if there is a pair available.
• Cost is $70/ curler. Shoes are $30/ season to rent with a $100/deposit cheque that is kept in case of damages/ or loss. Fees and shoe rentals have to be paid before the 1st day of curling. (Any deposit chq’s for rental shoes will have to be brought the first day before shoes are released).

Grade 2 - 6 ($70/curler) – Tuesdays 5:30 - 6:30 pm
Grades 7 and Up ($70/curler) 6:30 - 7:30 pm
