About Us
Area 31 - North of the James is a local program of Special Olympics Virginia that provides sports training and a lifetime of community inclusion. Our program offers training in a variety of sports: softball, tennis, track & field, bowling, swimming, golf, volleyball, bocce, soccer, and basketball. On the playing field and in life, North of the James focuses on good sportsmanship, teamwork and friendship. Click here to see all of the sports programs that we offer!
As a volunteer-run program of Special Olympics Virginia, we are always looking for individuals of all ages and abilities to join us in making a difference in our local communities. Regardless of sports knowledge, there are many opportunities to get involved.
We're always looking for coaches for our sports teams, as well as donations that keep our sports programs running.
