About Us

STM Academy promotes an environment where young athletes are given the opportunity to build and develop the skills needed to achieve their goals both on and off the court. Our foundation is built on creating a path for our athletes that maximizes their opportunities for success in life after basketball.

STM Academy (Basketball) was founded after recognizing a need in the Iredell County area for a program tailored towards preparing young athletes for life after High School. The vision was to help young athletes better understand the opportunities they had in continuing to pursue their talents as an athlete as well as their future in becoming a young adult. Our program consists of players ranging from 8th-12th grade, including both boys and girls teams. STM coaches are volunteers, selected based on both their individual knowledge and success in the game of basketball as well as their various backgrounds ranging from former college athletes, military veterans to high school administrator.

Our Mission: Our mission is to develop individual talent that transitions to team success in order to build a foundation that prepares players for future success both on and off the court. At the core of that mission is a determination not to limit the opportunities for our players based on financial status, economic environment or third party influence outside of that player’s control. We believe in taking the game back to it’s truest form, with a grassroots approach to training, development and success. Hard work on the court builds character on and off the court.
