Hosted by: Takaball Association
Waddell Games is organizing an event on May 10 in Toronto to compete for the Waddell Games Cup, which will be awarded to the team with the most points between 2 games. This will be the third time this cup is awarded as a trophy and the first time it's being awarded with the Waddell Games Cup as its name.
This year, the games in the competition will be takaball and trivia hunt, the same as last year, but the teams will work differently than last year's GTA West and GTA East teams. The teams for this year are Red VS Blue and the players will be assigned to a team after arriving to the event.
There will also be other fun activities added to the event as we'll be going to Pursuit OCR and will close with a game of manhunt in the Humber Arboretum for those who are up to it. The players on the winning team will also be awarded with a free admission to GlowZone 360 in Mississauga to play lazer tag and mini golf later in May or a $20 credit to apply to future Waddell Games events.
People are also welcome to participate in only part of the event at a cheaper price, instead of the whole event, but only players who compete in both games and pay the full price are eligible for the GlowZone 360 prize and the $20 credit. Contact Joel Waddell for more information regarding limited participation and discount codes.

Takaball is a game invented by Joel Waddell where 2 teams play against each other trying to get into their opponent's endzone with a frisbee by passing and running with the frisbee without getting tagged by an opponent then, after entering the endzone with the frisbee, picking up a ball from their opponent's endzone and trying to bring it to their endzone by passing and running with the ball without getting tagged by an opponent. Joel called the game takaball because his last name, Waddell, has origins with viking connections and the English word "retrieve" translated to Old Norse is "taka" and points are scored by retrieving a ball.
