About Us
Master Edison Park has been leading TaeKwonDo classes in Topanga for more than 15 years. He teaches with gentle guidance, kindness and old-fashioned discipline, respect and humility. Edison’s students add a special spark to the annual Topanga Days parade every year and he has guided more than 15 students to black belt level.
Mondays and Wednesdays:
Kids, Age 4 1/2-8 @ 4:00 – 5:00 p.m. @ Topanga Community Center
Juniors, Ages 9-12 @ 5:00 – 6:00 p.m @ Topanga Community Center
Teens @ 7-8:30 p.m. @ 1909 Topanga Canyon Blvd
Adults @ 8:45-10pm @ 1909 Topanga Canyon Blvd
Saturdays (optional and if weather permits):
All Ages (Kids & Adults) @ 8:45-10 a.m. @ Temescal Beach (to left of pier)
The monthly cost is $125 with nominal costs for uniforms, belts and quarterly tests.
About TaeKwonDo:
This Korean martial art is based on focus and concentration. Master Park leads his classes through a series of stretches and specific moves and forms with focus on Respect, Humility, and Patience.
Each child will be trained to memorize specific and well calculated kicks, punches, attack and defense moves and forms. To do this, one must channel all awareness to absorb and implement the maneuvers. As they train their minds to filter out distractions, the children will automatically apply that aptitude to other areas of their life, such as school, homework and sports. Through Taekwondo training, your child can acquire skills that will impact the rest of his/her life:
