About Us

On The Rise Basketball Academy was founded and established by Coach Carlos Rosario Jr. in 2013.  Coach Rosario Jr. was an Assistant Coach for Miami Christian for 4 years. He assisted Coach Jose Molina/Coach Andrew  Moran and Coach Juan Cardona. During that time they won 3 State Championships ( 2A, 2015-2017-2018). During that period there were 9 players who received Division 1 scholarships and 6 that received Division 2 Scholarships. Almost all the rest of them went on to play Division 3 or NAIA. He also learned from Coach Juan Hernandez (2x State Final Four Finalist) at ACC for 2 years. The experience received with the above mentioned versatile Coaches is unmeasurable. 

Coach Rosario Jr. coached from 2012-2016 with the Miami Tropics. Where he was mentored by the Legendary Coach Art Pilin Alvarez. He Coached and Assisted in the biggest Tournaments U.S.A. has to offer. They traveled yearly from Las Vegas to Texas or From North Carolina to Florida. 

It was during this time he initiated On the Rise Basketball. In 2018 the Grade 6 Team made US Amateur Nationals Final 4 and Grade 6 Team were the US Ametour State Champions. In 2017 The 17under team played in Florida's highly recognized to Tournament hosted by Source Hoops- Fest Open Period (4-0). This year they also attended the Adidas Gauntlet Peach State and landed in the Sweet 16. In 2016 the 16U Team won the AAU Regional Championship at the Disney Memorial Day Classic. 

Coach Rosario Jr is a great Basketball Skills Trainer/Strength & Conditioning Coach of all ages. He helped his brother Joshua Rosario get a Division 1 Scholarship with U.M.B.C.. He also helped Sebastian Guitian get a Division 2 Scholarship with Palm Beach Atlantic. Jaylen Escoto played with Transylvania University a Division 3 and Christian Melendez with Ave Maria NAIA. He has helped hundreds of players reach their goals in graduating High School and attend College.

In 2018, Coach Rosario Jr, joined forces with Juan Rosario (Florida State Trooper), Carlos Rosario Sr. (Florida State Trooper)  and George Vasquez (a local business owner with a passion for youth basketball) to create an indoor basketball gym. Together they became On The Rise Basketball Community Outreach & created an indoor basketball gym. With their combined experience in the sport and dedication to the sport of basketball, On the Rise Basketball offers a supportive and welcoming atmosphere where children can learn the fundamentals of basketball in a safe environment, be challenged to increase their aptitude in the sport of basketball and build the necessary confidence and mental toughness needed to succeed both on and off the court. Our highly advanced training facility welcomes children of all ages and backgrounds and looks forward to assisting them with the necessary skills that help them gain an advantage over the competition.

No player is left behind, we have different packages that can fit all needs. If your looking to train, play recreation basketball or travel basketball we have it.  In 2019 On The Rise Basketball Community Outreach created Dade County League where travel basketball teams come compete at a recreational level & travel level. Some of the teams that are part of Dade County League or were are  MJ Hoops Basketball Academy, Mark Black Academy, B.Y.O.L. Balllers, Miami Impact, Kendall Kings, Hand Down Man Down, Tuff Lee, ABC, Miami Tropics, DB Hoops, Florida City Lions,  Miami Basketball Phenoms, Doral Boomers, 305 Youth Sports and Vice City. 

In 2019 Coach Rosario Jr. took a break from basketball & entered the Law Enforcement Career. He became a Police Officer with the Miami Dade School Police Department and now is back coaching/training again.

Silver Package
