About Superjocks

* GUYS registration is by invitation only, if you would like to join please email the organizer to get on the waiting list

Show your fellow Calgarians that you're skilled at a few sports, that you're marginal at a couple others, and that you are really (REALLY) bad at one or two more.  You shouldn't worry about the select few you stink at; it is all part of the fun.  What you may or may not lack in athletic perfection, you make up with your stellar beer drinking skills.  Plus, you will have the unique opportunity to help raise and direct funds to local charities, which means you can always feel good, not matter how badly you sucked.

The concept behind Superjocks is fairly simple: play a different sport every week.  Join everyone for drinks at the pub afterwards. Make friends. Influence people.

Here's how it works:

  1. Every Tuesday for 15 weeks ish (late January - late April):
  2. There are 7 full time players and 2 part time players per team (part timers coordinate so one is always playing.
  3. 5 teams x 2 leagues (men's / women's)
  4. Most games are played with 4-6 players; extra players ensure each team is always able to play at full strength.
  5. Please don't join Full Time if you can't make it to at least 70% of the nights (including going for beers afterward).  Maybe consider our part time option??
  6. Remember: first pay, first play.  No exceptions.

The list of sports changes every year, but here is a list of sports we have played in the past:

Basketball   Squash/Racquetball    Soccer    Football    Bowling    Dodgeball

Curling    Spikeball    Wallyball    Kickball    Archery Tag    Badminton

Lacrosse    Ice Hockey    Floor Hockey    Indoor Soccer    Volleyball    Ultimate
